About me
I am Hissa Al Sada, a highly motivated journalism student at Northwestern Qatar, studying for a bachelor's degree in Journalism, with a minor in Media and Politics. My interests extend beyond journalism. I am deeply interested in international affairs and politics, and I aspire to become a diplomat.
I believe that, as human beings, we are entitled to express ourselves freely. At the root of all my interests, whether academic or personal, is the way I express myself. When I talk about my journalistic side, I talk about how I articulate my thoughts through writing. When I talk about my political side, I talk about how I confidently voice my perspectives and engage in conversations that challenge me to think critically.
My research is not only a reflection of my current skills but also of the person I aspire to become. The topics I explore reflect my long-term interests and the fields I hope to contribute to. When I discuss real-world problems and social issues, I do not think of their effect now, but the lasting impact they have on society
My internship at Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs allowed me to explore these interests in a professional setting. Working within the Consular Affairs Department gave me insight into diplomacy, public service, and the importance of effective communication. The experience strengthened my desire to build a career that combines my interests in media, politics, and international affairs.
As an aspiring journalist and diplomat, I look forward to exploring the bridge that connects journalism to politics, and how that will help me build a career that not only contributes to my personal success, but to the development of the wider community as well.
